We would welcome people who play any other instruments

Normally Saturday afternoons in Exning Community Church Hall (Church Lane, Exning CB8 7HF)

We do ask for a contribution of £2.00 per person (£1.00 for under 18s) to cover the hall hire cost.

MBC Band session in March 2016.

MBC Band session in March 2017.

This is an opportunity for grade 1+ standard musicians of any age to get together and have a play around.

These are not rehearsals as there will be no performances; it’s purely a chance to dust off your instrument and get together with a friendly group of people to have fun with music.

There’s no obligation – come as little or as often as you want!

We play all sorts of genres of music, meaning that there really is something for everyone.

Past repertoire includes classical music from the likes of Joplin and Grieg, as well as film soundtrack songs such as Somewhere Over the Rainbow and All That Jazz.

We’ve also had a lot of fun playing a bespoke arrangement of a rock song by metal artist Devin Townsend – and we do take arrangement requests, just let us know your favourite song!

In early We'll be revisiting old favourites such as If I Were a Rich Man, Dancing Queen and All That Jazz, Lucky Animals (if we're lucky!) and looking at some new material too (please post suggestions in the comments).
