Covid Precautions
We want to ensure that all people who participate in MBC activities are kept safe from Covid infections.
The current precautions we recommend are shown here.
Covid Precautions
We are all conscious that Covid cases are still at a high level and we need to protect each other, so please note the following
Before coming
Clearly, if you have symptoms, or had a recent positive covid test we ask you not to come
We are requesting everybody to take a Lateral Flow Test (LFD) before coming. If you want to come but do not have a test available, please contact me (John Saville on 07968-
In line with government recommendations, it is important that you bring a mask (or appropriate face covering). We can provide one if needed.
Arrival
Please wear your mask on arrival
Please use the hand sanitizer
Please bring a pen to either sign in or leave your details. We will have some sanitized pens if you forget.
We are asking for the regular donation of £2 (£1 for children) to cover hire of the room. It would be helpful if you could bring the correct money, to put in the bowl, but we will have a few packs of £3 change made up with sanitized coins.
Seating and ventilation
We will arrange seating to be socially distanced. Obviously if you in a bubble with others you may move your seats together.
If numbers necessitate it, we will sit guitarists on the stage
We will try to have good ventilation, so that might be a good reason to wear a suitable jumper!
Singing
Having examined the government press releases about masks and singing events, the conclusion is that “Singing for Fun” falls into the category of event where masks are exempted whilst singing. (Singing to yourself while going round a shop is not exempted as an excuse not to wear a mask!)
Refreshments
Please wear your mask when collecting drinks and then move away from the counter. Obviously you may remove your mask to drink.
Session end
At the end of the session please wear your mask when leaving or helping to put chairs away etc.
